2nd case study-townscape

David Bomberg he was a English painter and was born on the 5th of December 1890 in Birmingham. his filed was painting, sketching and teaching. he trained at Westminster school of arts, slade school of arts. his movements where cubism, futurism and vorticism.  Bomberg painted a series of complex geometric compositions combining the influences of cubism and futurism. there both visual art work and there both in proportion but one has colour and the other is in black and white and its very detailed.  the first picture brings out a dull gloomy kind of mood he achives this with the blackand white shading he has used and the other brings out a happy, sunny, colorful mood he achives this by painting with colour bring and light colours. he does realistic work.

1 case study town scape

Liam Spencer he was was born in Burnley in 1964,  He studied at Burnley college and He studied Fine Art at Manchester Polytechnic. hes influenced by many artists for different reasons, a fue of the artists that influence him Frank Auerbach, Ivon Hitchens, Gwen John, Winifred Nicholson, Monet, Marquet, Matisse, Bonnard, Van Gogh, Cézanne, Bomberg. his subject matter is manchester and region, its a fascinating subject for artistic representation, in his opinion much more interesting than traditional-style 'chocolate box' subjects. He uses very realistic colors and fine brush marks and he puts everything in proportion. he brings out a warm kinda suttle mood from his paintings i think because hes used warm colors it has set the atmosphere as calm and kinda peaceful. its very realistic work nothing seems abstract about you can notice the brush marks. he came to public attention in 2000, with an exhibition “Urban Panoramas” at the newly opened Lowry arts centre in Salford.
